From the sunny hills of Mikulov, Jitka will be giving us a guided beer tasting of her lovely beers.

We’ve got an ambitious list of topics to discuss. With each opened bottle, Jitka will talk about how what we taste in our glass is influenced by each ingredient (and each ingredient in turn shows its environment), what a geueze is, and then on to the exciting world of champagne styles, where the border of beer and wine is something from the old world. Which brings us to natural wine making, blending grapes, and the Moravian speciality of ‘straw grapes’. Sound like fun? Hell yeah.

We’ll also be having a conversation about why we make lambic today, why there ain’t no coconut in them, and how our relationship with alcohol is changing. And this is where you come in, we’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. This is designed to be an interactive event, not a lecture.
